Title: New Hampshire Consortium to End Violence Against Women on Campus
Overview
The Campus Consortium project creates a consortium of New Hampshire colleges and universities for the purposes of developing model policies, procedures, prevention programs and intervention activities to end violence against women on campus. The consortium provides the opportunity for NH colleges and universities to share information and resources to end violence against women on their respective campuses. Working in cooperation with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (NHCADSV) the campus subcommittee and the campus consortium creates a forum where New Hampshire’s post secondary institutions can develop and implement strategies to end violence against women on their respective campuses including but not limited to a campus sexual assault policy, campus protocol for responding to reported sexual assaults, coordinated victim services delivery system utilizing campus and/or community based resources, campus plan to prevent sexual assault and plan to provide student, faculty and staff training. The consortium’s work is supported by the campus subcommittee of the NH Governor’s Commission Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.
Consortium Goal
Establish a state wide consortium of New Hampshire colleges and universities for the purposes of establishing model policies, procedures, prevention programs and intervention activities to end violence against women on campus.
Objectives
- Establish a VAW on campus subcommittee of the Governor’s Commission Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.
- Assess the extent of violence against women prevention and intervention activities at New Hampshire colleges and universities.
- Develop model policies, procedures, prevention programs and intervention activities to end violence against women on campus.
- Convene a consortium of New Hampshire colleges and universities that will focus on prevention and intervention activities to end violence against women on campus.
- Continue the consortium beyond grant award.
Campus Subcommittee
The campus subcommittee of the NH Governor's Commission Against Domestic and Sexual Violence supports and advises a state wide consortium of New Hampshire colleges and universities to end violence against women on campus. Members include stakeholders from state, not-for-profit, and postsecondary institutions.

Campus Consortium Consultant
Jane G. Stapleton
Jane G. Stapleton coordinates the state-wide campus consortium project. As an activist, administrator, policy maker, service provider and researcher, she has worked in the field of ending violence against women on university campuses for 20 years. In her role as campus consortium consultant she:
- facilitates subcommittee meetings;
- conducts and analyzes the VAW inventory;
- convenes the consortium;
- facilitates consortium meetings;
- supports the consortium’s activities;
- assist in the establishment of the consortium’s sustainability plan; and
- provide technical assistance to consortium members.
